工学部機械工学科卒業。自動車部品メーカーの開発エンジニア、国立大学の研究所勤務を経て英語の先生になる。オーストラリア、カナダで英語修行。オーストラリアでは地元の小中高一貫校で日本語教師のサポートを行い、カナダでは大手航空機部品メーカーでインターンとして働いた。現在、英語（英検・英会話・TOEIC）を小中高生、大学生、大人、外国人に指導するほか、米国企業のポッドキャスト翻訳にも携わる。 テレビのない環境で育ったため、今でもテレビは見ないが、代わりにYouTubeを視聴している。YouTubeはほとんど英語サイトしか見ず、X（Twitter）やオンラインニュースと合わせて情報源をほぼ100%英語化している。アメリカ政治や社会情勢をフォローしており、自称アメリカ政治マニア。得られた情報を講座にフィードバックしている。 趣味は英語教材開発。また、プログラミング、真空管アンプ、クラシック音楽を愛好。
